Italian Senator Ronaldo Penalty Question
Turin - Penalty Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of
the match Juventus vs Genoa questioned
Italian senator. They plan to discuss it in
the senate hearing.
Two controversial penalties from the
Italian League match which was held on
Thursday (10/31/2019) early morning hrs.
First in the Napoli vs Atalanta match, then in
the Juventus vs Genoa match.
It was Napoli striker Fernando Llorente's penalty
that the referee canceled when facing Atalanta.
Then another one is Ronaldo's penalty at the end
in the match Juventus vs Genoa.
In the case of Llorente, referee Pierro Giacomelli did not give Napoli a penalty after the Spanish striker was dropped in the 87th minute. Despite Llorente's elbow being caught on the face of Simon Kjaer, the referee's decision was strongly protested by Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti. As for Ronaldo, the penalty given by referee Antonio Giua is questioned because many CR7 are considered diving. In addition, the penalty is given in the 95th minute, even though the injury time is given only 4 minutes.
That has caused controversy. And as reported
by ESPN, two Italian senators plan to discuss it
in the Italian Senate to ensure there
is no 'partiality' in the Serie A competition.
It was Gianni Pittella from the Democratic
Central-Left coalition, and Gaetano Quagliarello
from the IdeA (Identity and Action)
Central-Right coalition who planned to discuss it.
In his posting on Facebook, Pittella highlighted
the two penalties above. He also questioned why
Giacomelli refused to see VAR monitors on
the sidelines.
Napoli vs Atalanta
itself ended in a 2-2 draw, where Atalanta could equalize the score four
minutes ahead of normal time runs out. While Juventus won 2-1 over Genoa, and
led the Old Lady back to the top
